It all happened so fast--this week finishes our season at Eastern Market and the City Commons CSA. Thanks to all our members and customers for a great season and we hope to see you again next year--you can sign up already on our newly improved site: citycommonscsa.com/shop

Food Field is pleased to announce we are one of 30 winners in the New Economy Initiative's NEIdeas grant challenge! We'll receive funding toward licensing, materials and equipment to open a weekly farm-to-table cafe setup onsite next season. Read about the grant and some of the other Detroit businesses that won featured in last Sunday's Free Press. We're also lucky enough to reveive further funding from the Charter One Growing Communities grant program, which will pay for a wood-burning water heater to keep our catfish and hoop house greens alive through the coldest winter nature may throw at us.

While the season is wrapping up, we'll continue to have some fresh produce for sale plus eggs, honey, pickles and preserved items. You can still stop by on Saturdays or anytime we're at work in the field (call or text ahead to 313.312.7235).
